Out of the bleak mid winter?

One of the better waves this morning

First real experience of SUP's on the North Coast
Hope y'all had a happy Vday. We did : )
Clouds and castles on the 15th

Checked the local this morning but not much was a doing so ventured round the coast after class to find some shelter from the wind. Shared the beach with a couple of SUP's for the first time. wow those guys catch alot of waves and with style too! Air temperatures been rising the past few days and theres abit of a stretch in the evenings. Spring hasn't quite sprung but at least it feels we're out of the dark, dire and depressing bleak mid-winter!

Thursday past...

Lefts

Rights
Aaron
Trying to get something out of a smaller one
Buick. Stoked to be back.

Thursday past was abit bigger than the rest of the week. Lots of waves but awog and I seemed to miss most of them! One of those sessions that you tend to enjoy more in retrospect...

Cool and Clean

A quick glimpse

Awog sporting his toasty new wares

Todays sticks of choice

Well after a break of 10 days (it felt alot longer) I finally got back in the water. Conditions weren't actually that bad. Pretty small but also pretty clean and didn't feel that cold. I was really rusty though. Slow and awkward to get to my feet and a few times I felt as if I had absolutely no balance. Still was great to get in the water and hopefully I won't have to wait so long until the next time...

Wobbly Rights...

The rights off the pier showed a mirage of potential

The A-Bomb going through the motions

Free wax... Stoked!
Tried to get a surf before work with the A-Bomb again this week and again we failed to really succeed. Last weeks Big Friday was instead replaced with Fustrating Friday. The amount of water coming out of the river made the 'wobbly rights' hard to judge and even harder to catch. Still I suppose every cloud has a silver lining. I found a bar of wax on the beach when I was getting changed.
